Day Three: 3 January 2015

Hello Everyone,

Today was laundry day for me, because I couldn’t avoid it anymore and I was running dramatically low on the amount of clean socks in my drawer. It took a few hours but I managed to clean all of my clothes and I now have nice fresh socks to wear! Other than doing my laundry I have spent most of my day reading the Divergent Trilogy. I ended the second book in the series today and started the final book and I only have about 16 chapters left and I can’t seem to put it down. The story is so enthralling that I find myself with the constant need to continue reading it. It’s the reason I didn’t blog earlier like I intended to, if any of you have read these books you’ll understand my pain. I admire the main characters strength even when all hope is lost, and I hope that I could be that way especially now when I need to be strong. Today was a hard day for me and my current mental health. It seemed that everything reminded me of my recent ex-boyfriend and it hurt to think of him, I miss him and I know that I shouldn’t because he broke my heart even though he promised he would never hurt me. I was doing fine until I was scrolling through the TV channels and I found a stupid movie to put on while I folded my clothes. In the movie the main character’s boyfriend leaves her and as he leaves her he tells her he doesn’t love her anymore and she is heartbroken just like I am. Then at the end of the movie he comes back to her and tells her he lied and that he was sorry and that he would never leave her again. It hurt to know that that would never happen to me because my life is not a movie and the girl and boy don’t always end up together in the end. I’m trying to be strong but it’s not very easy when every fiber of my being wants him back. That’s it for today.

Day Two: 2 January 2015

Hello Everyone,

Today has been a very uneventful day; I have spent most of my day at work cross referencing online orders. And if that wasn’t enough the company website crashed in the middle of that and I wasn’t able to fully complete my work. It was awful; I wanted to throw the computer out the window! Today is also the founder's day of my sorority Alpha Omicron Pi, today is its 118th birthday! Although I am an alumna I still have a place in my heart for my organization and all of my sisters. For the rest of the night I will be over at my best friend’s house because her parents are gone for the night and she doesn’t want to be alone in her house and I don’t blame her on that one! So we will probably end up watching Netflix all night while talking crap about all the men in our lives, the normal things girls do at sleepovers. Not really much to say about today, so this is where I will end this!!

Day One: 1 January 2015

Hello Everyone,

It’s the first day of the New Year and it’s already off to a horrible start. I rang in the New Year with my family but I spent the first 20 minutes of 2015 crying my eyes out. The supposed love of my life broke up with me the day after Christmas, and I haven’t felt right since. I have been trying to be strong but some days are easier than others. I got a tattoo on the collarbone to remind myself that everything happens for a reason, and it does but I’m still hurt and confused as to why he all of a sudden decided he wasn’t in love with me anymore. It was hard to see my family so happy at midnight, hugging and kissing when I felt broken, hurt and betrayed. If you had asked me a week ago to picture that exact moment I would’ve said that at midnight I would be expecting a call from him and that we would laugh and talk and ring in the New Year and be happy. I never thought in a million years that my night would be the exact opposite. And now my family is on their way over to my parents’ house so we can all have dinner and celebrate the New Year yet again, and I'm not in a celebratory mood. I have to put on a fake smile and act like everything is alright as my family laughs and enjoys each other’s company. People keep telling me the pain will subside and everything will be okay, but I can’t do anything without thinking of him and how I wish he was here. It’s something I’m going to have to live with, but everything happens for a reason. Enough of the sad stuff… I’ve got a couple New Year’s Resolutions that I’d like to share. The first being that I want to finally lose weight, I’ve been trying for a while but this year I’m going to be serious about it. And the second is that I’m going to try and actually have fun and do what I want to do and not what someone else wants me to do. I’m going to flirt and laugh and be myself no matter what anyone has to say. I’m 21 years old I should be having fun, acting my age, and enjoying myself instead of being so serious all the time! So here’s to the first day of 2015!

365 Day Challenge

Hello Everyone!

So recently I have been hearing the phrase that every year is like a 365 page book, and that because today is the first day of 2015 that today is page one of the 365 page book. this got me to thinking and I've decided that I want to challenge myself to write about everyday this year. It could be long or short but I want to write my very own 365 page book about 2015. I know this is going to be a bit challenging especially with school but I'm hoping that it will help me through what I'm sure is going to be a difficult year. I hopefully will be posting my days on this blog and on my tumblr. Lets do this!

Neutrogena Natural Glow Moisturizer

Hello Everyone,

So, just recently I purchased the Neutrogena Natural Glow moisturizer in the color Fair to Medium. I began using it this past week and I must say that I am loving it. I am someone who is very pale all the time, and I don't tan easily so when I come along something that will help me get the summer glow I am looking for without hurting my skin I am all for it.
I'm not gonna lie I was a little scared when I first started using the product because I was afraid that it was going to turn me orange and no one wants to look like an oompa loompa. I was very happy when the next day when I woke up my skin wasn't orange it had a slight glow to it. Along with purchasing the body moisturizer I got the face moisturizer as well so that I could get an all over glow.
After using these products for a week I can definitely say that I have a gorgeous natural looking tan without the harm of the sun. Not only does it give you a nice tan it also is a great moisturizer, my skin is so soft after using this product and it really adds to the benefits of this lotion. I completely recommend these products if you're like me and sunburn very easily. The only issue I noticed was that if you applied a little too much around the ankles, knees, or wrists sometimes it would appear a slight orange color. To fix the problem I would wash that areas with a little soap and water then when I used the lotion again I would very sparingly apply it in those spots. Other than that it is an amazing product that delivers great results. I've even had people compliment me on my tan, and trust me that never happens to me.
100% recommend this, and I will be using this for many weeks to come! Thank you all for reading, and I will see you next time! Love y'all, Byee!

My March Favorites

Hello everyone, so the month of March has ended and that means it's time to list all of the products and things I have been loving throughout the month. March was a crazy month in North Carolina, the weather has been all over the board. So my makeup routine has been as well, I have been loving a lot of different products this month. So without further explanation let's get started!
Makeup/Skincare products I have been loving,
-  I have been using the Garnier Moisture Rescue gel-cream moisturizer recently because it has been really cold and windy and my skin was drying out and I've had this product for a little while and I hadn't really used it until now and I have fallen in love with it, it has really saved my skin this winter.
- Benefit the Porefessional primer, is another product that I have had for a little while and I just started using it. Now its something I use everyday, it leaves a soft matte finish on my skin which helps keep the oils away, also it really does help my makeup last longer, and I love how it feels on my skin.
- the Covergirl tru blend foundation in L1 ivory, this is product I just bought at the beginning of March and I have used it everyday since I bought it. I have very pale skin so finding a drug store foundation that matches my skin tone is very difficult, but I never gave up trying to find one. Then Covergirl came out with the new line of tru blend foundations and I knew I had to try one. This foundation is super easy to blend, and matches my skin tone so nicely.
- the Rimmel London stay matte powder in 001 Transparent, I have been using this product for almost a year and I still love it. It gives my skin a beautiful matte finish and I have slightly oily skin and with this powder I only have reapply once, usually in the middle of the day.
- Benefit Hoola bronzer is my favorite bronzer currently, its gorgeous. Its light enough so I know it won't be too dark for my pale skin. It helps give my skin a beautiful summer glow without having to lay in the sun all day. I use this mainly for contouring on my cheekbones because its been so cold out but over the summer I look forward to using it all over my face.
- My go-to eyeshadows of the month have been Naked Lunch and Charcoal Brown from my MAC palette. I custom made my palette on the MAC website for my birthday in August and I have fallen in love with this color combination since then. The two colors together create such a natural look that can be worn for day and night events. They are super easy to blend and they feel so smooth in the skin, I also have not had any trouble with them creasing.
- The Rimmel London Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal eyeliner in 001 black has been my go to eyeliner of the month. I ran out of my favorite liquid liner in the beginning of the month and instead of going out and getting another one I decided to use a different eyeliner from my collection. And this was the one that I pulled out and I haven't stopped using it since. It glides on super smooth and its waterproof, plus they have several different colors to choose from.
- My mascara of the month has been the L'oreal Lashout Butterfly Mascara in black brown. This was another product that I chose at random because my usual mascara ran out, and I'm loving it! It really does flare your lashes out like a butterfly's wings, but it does so without making them look piecey. They give the look of false lashes without the hassle of having to out fake lashes on.
- And finally my favorite lip product of the month are the NYX lipglosses in Beige and Baby Rose. They give such a beautiful gloss to the lips, and they don't feel sticky. The beige lipgloss is such a pretty pink and I love to wear it when I'm feeling extra girly. The pink rose lipgloss is very sheer and has a little bit of sparkle to it and that makes it great for an everyday lipgloss.
Hair Products
- The It's a 10 Miracle Oil plus Keratin, its a leave in oil that helps to protect against frizz and leave hair soft and shiny. I have very curly/wavy frizzy hair and this oil has helped me so much. I apply about 3 pumps of  it after I get out of the shower to slightly damp hair and then I brush it through to make sure that it gets everywhere, after that I either blow dry it or i let it dry naturally. Whichever way my hair dries the oil helps to tame the frizz and make my hair have a healthy glow.
- My next favorite is the TRESemme Thermal Creations heat tamer protective spray, I had been using a different heat protect prior to this but I felt like it was giving me the protection I needed, so I went and bought this one and I have been loving it. It really does protect my hair from all of the heat and damage I put it through on a daily basis. Not only does it protect my hair but it smells good too. I just spray it a few times throughout my hair and brush it through before I apply heat to it.
- I just recently got the NuMe reverse curling wand and I have been using it so much. I always get a lot of compliments when I do my hair with this wand, and I'm loving it. Its a reverse wand so its bigger at the tip and smaller close to the base of the wand. The curls it produces are gorgeous because it starts as a tighter curl at the top of your head and goes down into a loose curl.
Nail Products
- I have been using the Sinful Colors Professional nail polish in the color 920 which is a neon pink color and I think it's perfect for spring, but the polish leaves a matte finish on my nails and I'm not a fan of that.
- So to fix the matte finish I put Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in 220 Arm Candy on top of the neon pink polish. Arm Candy is a light pink almost clear color and it helps to make the neon pink have a shiny finish to it.
Fragrance
- Now that its warmer out I have decided to switch up my fragrances and I have gone back to an old favorite of mine, the Bath and Body Works, Beautiful Day body spray. This is a body spray that I got over the summer and I put it away when the weather got cold, but now that the sun is making an appearance I have brought it back out and I have fallen in love with it all over again.
YouTuber
My favorite YouTuber this month has been missglamorazzi, I have been watching her videos for a few years now, and I still love watching her. She is super adorable and every time I watch one of her videos I can't help but feel happy. She is really sweet and informative, I really like the tutorials that she does when it comes to hair and makeup. Normally when I get a new product its because she has recommended it, and I can't thank her enough for that.
Random
- My first random favorite is a TV Show, I've been seriously addicted to this show and I'm already on season 2. Its called Scandal and I just can't get enough of it. I am always torn between whether or not I want the main characters to get together or not. I might watch some after I finish typing this.
- One word... Frozen... enough said. I absolutely love this movie, its so cute and really has a good message for all its viewers. I have been listening to the soundtrack on repeat since I saw the movie in theaters with my niece. It is such a lighthearted movie with great music that really just makes you want to sing along.
- Another random favorite is Dasani Drops Flavor Enhancer in Strawberry Kiwi, I love drinking water but sometimes I need a little flavor in my drink so I got a few of the flavor enhancers and I have fallen in love with the strawberry kiwi one and its delicious. I love the fact that its zero calories so I don't feel bad when I flavor my water with it several times.
- My serious obsession this month has been March Madness NCAA Road to the Final Four, and I have been a proud supporter of my boyfriends team the Florida Gators. They have literally kicked some but throughout the competition and even though they didn't make it to the championship, they are still champions to me. I picked a great you to become a Gator fan!

So those are my March Favorites, I hope you enjoyed reading about all of the things I have been loving this month, and I hope it gave you some new ideas of things you want to try. That's it for this week and I will see you all next week for my next  post. Thank you for reading! Love you all, byee!

Back To School

Hello Everyone,
So as I'm sure most of you know its back to school time here in the US. I myself am now back at university and having to get adjusted to a new campus. For those of you who may be just starting college, or starting high school, or even middle school it can be an exciting yet scary time. Trust me I've been there many times, but you're not alone there are plenty of others who are in the same position as you. Now I've got some tips for you to help you make the most of your new experiences.

  1. On that first day dress your best, because when you look your best you feel your best and that will make you more confident to make new friends.
  2. Always have a smile, because that will help you seem more approachable to others and meeting people will be easy.
  3. Make sure you're prepared for that first day, and by that I mean have all the supplies you'll need for  that day. Some of the things I like to carry with me includes...
    • Binders or notebooks (whichever you prefer)
    • Pens and pencils (I like to carry both)
    • Highlighters (at least one, I carry them all because I like to color code my notes)
    • A case of some sort to put your pens, pencils, and highlighters in.
    • White out (for those times when you do write in pen)
    • A mini stapler (because that will always come in handy)
    • An Agenda is always good to keep around (so you can write down your assignments and when tests and quizzes are)
    • And of course a backpack or tote bag to store all of your supplies in (I got mine at Target)
  4. Also on that first day it never hurts to bring some of your makeup with you (if you wear makeup that is) because more than likely you will have to endure P.E. or Gym. And if you have those you'll want to touch up your makeup after that class. Some of the products I carried with me were...
    • My powder foundation
    • A tube of liquid concealer
    • Some mascara (Maybelline the Falsies is the favorite)
    • Chapstick (which I feel is always a necessity)
    • And some form of lip gloss or lipstick depending on your preference
  5. Another thing to bring with you for P.E is deodorant, because after exercising you need to deodorize yourself. Also you can always bring along a mini body spray to use after Gym as well and that will have you smelling good as you leave the locker room.
  6. For all those girls out there with long hair, make sure you bring a hair tie with you because I know from experience that some days your hair is on your last nerve. So bring that for those days and just put your hair up and you'll be good to go.
  7.     Make sure that you get plenty of sleep at night too, because the worst thing it to be falling asleep in your first period call and to be called out by the teacher because that would be embarrassing.
  8. Be sure to bring a water bottle with you because you don't want to get dehydrated throughout the day. Staying hydrated is important because it helps you to be in a better mood and pay more attention.
  9. Now during your first class of the day you are bound to meet someone new or see old friends from previous schools, and if y'all hit it off as friends I would suggest making a plan to sit together at lunch so that you don't have to wander aimlessly to find a place to eat. At least that's always worked for me. Now if you don't know anyone and you are shy around other people hopefully you'll meet someone in the classes leading up to your lunch time.
  10. And Finally just be open to meeting and talking to new people. You've started a new and exciting chapter of your lives, so don't freak out and get prepared. If you use any of these tips I'm sure you'll have a great year!
I could go on and on for days about all the things I did in school to embarrass myself but one good thing is that I learned these little tidbits of information that I am now sharing with you. If you need anymore tips or advice about school I will be more than happy to talk to y'all about it. Until next time I love you all, Bye :)
