Day Fifty Six, Fifty Seven, and Fifty Eight: 25, 26, & 27 February 2015

Hey there lovely people of the internet,

So I hate it when I have to combine three days into one post but unfortunately the last few days have been ridiculous and I haven’t had the time to sit down and blog for y’all so I apologize. A lot has happened over the last few days.

Let’s start with Wednesday. Wednesday was a very busy day for me, I had a lot of work to do and not enough time to do it in. I have several assignments that all required my attention because they were due the next day. The entire week in general was full of presentations and papers, and assignments that I barely had any time to breathe. I had to make a PowerPoint presentation for my health class, do review questions for my entrepreneurship class, and I had to read a chapter from my leadership textbook and take notes on it. I made the presentation while at work and it ended up being 14 slides long which is ridiculous it was all about addiction and the different types of addiction. Then I quickly finished my other homework, well as quickly as I could. Then once I was finally done I took a much deserved break and watched Beauty and the Beast while drinking a glass of wine. Sarah and I ended up watching Cinderella and Hercules too. I haven’t seen any of those movies in so long, and I related everything in Beauty and the Beast to my life. I am slightly obsessed with that movie at the moment and all I want to do is watch it again and again. I wish I had it on DVD because that is exactly what I would be doing right now! Belle is me to a T whether I want to admit it or not. She wants something more than the life she has, and she wants to travel and leave home. Then there is the fact that she is too nice for her own good, and she loves books. I’m a huge bookworm and I am constantly reading something when I have free time. I often read before bed because it helps me unwind. She is me and I’m glad I have finally realized it. Also on Wednesday my ex-boyfriend and I finally moved past what happened between us and became friends again. I still care about him and love him more than anything but I realize we both have things we need to work on within ourselves before we can even think about being in a relationship. We are going to be friends because we are much happier when the other person is in our lives and if something happens down the road between us again then that’s awesome but if not then that’s okay. Everything happens for a reason, I just know that I need him in my life one way or another!

This brings me to Thursday. Wednesday night we got about a foot of snow, so thankfully classes were cancelled on Thursday and Sarah and I were able to stay in our pjs all day and watch Supernatural. We started on episode 1 of season 7 and by the time we went to bed were had just finished episode 17 of season 7. It was ridiculous, so much Supernatural in a short amount of time. I spent most of the day texting my ex because he also had a day off so we were able to catch up and talk about what had been going on in our lives since we last spoke. I was able to convince him to watch Supernatural so I hope he likes it because if not I’m going to feel really bad. I’m sure he will though as he pointed out I know him better than anyone. While watching Supernatural, my mom texted me about an internship she had heard about through my dad’s employer and it would be in my field of study. The applications would be accepted next week and that it would be an 8 week paid internship and I would be working 40 hours a week at 18 dollars an hour. I was so excited about it and I immediately got to work on getting everything together that I would need to apply. Then that night I downloaded some new books onto my tablet so I would have something new to read. I downloaded Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks, and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I fell asleep browsing the google play library trying to find more books.

That brings us to today! Happy Friday everyone! So today was a fairly easier day, I only had one class because my other class was cancelled. So I had plenty of extra time to get ready this morning. I ended up curling my hair using my NuMe reverse wand to do some tighter curls that I normally do. Then for my makeup I used my benefit stay flawless primer to start off with then I used my CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous concealer in the lightest shade they have. Then I used Urban Decay’s the Naked 2 palette eye shadow in the color “Half Baked” on my lid and along my lower lash line. Then I used MAC’s “Charcoal Brown” and “Mystery” eye shadows in my crease and I blended them along my lower lash line as well. Then I lined my eyes with Maybelline gel liner in the color “Charcoal”. Then I used my TooFaced Better Than Sex mascara which is my favorite mascara and I wear it every day. Then after that I used my Rimmel Stay Matte powder in “transparent” then I used my Benefit “Hoola” bronzer and “Hervana” blush. Then for highlight I used TooFaced Chandelier Duo. Then lastly I used my NYX lip gloss in the color “Beige” which is a lovely neutral pink color. For my outfit I wore my dark wash skinny jeans from Old Navy, a big slouchy sweater from JC Penny’s, and my brown ankle boots also from JC Penny’s. Then once I was ready I went to lunch with Sarah like I do every Friday. After lunch I suffered through my only class of the day and then once that was done I made my way home.

Once in town I went to Total Wine just like last week and bought two more bottles of my favorite wine called Stella Rosa, it’s fantastic. Then after that I went to Ulta to look for a cleanser that I thought they might have, which unfortunately they didn’t have it but I did pick up a can of my Toni&Guy hairspray, a new concealer, and some hair dye. I didn’t spend too much time there because if I do then I end up spending way too much money. Then I made my way home and got right to work on building my resume for the internship application. I downloaded a resume builder to my laptop and spent a couple of hours making it perfect. Then by the time I was satisfied with it my sister and her husband and daughter came over for dinner. My mom made Tacos and we all ate and I opened my wine. Then my friend Leanne came over and she helped me dye my hair and it is now a golden honey color which isn’t exactly what I wanted but it is pretty on me so I will work it like I do every other hair color I end up with. Then once we were done with that it was family game night and even though Leanne and I joined in late we still ended up catching up to everyone and we didn’t come in last which was nice. Which brings me to now where I am laying on my bed typing this post while listening to Beauty and the Beast in the background.

I am exhausted at this point and im going to end this here and go to bed! I hope y’all have had a wonderful week and I will see y’all tomorrow!

Day Fifty Four and Fifty Five: 23 and 24 February 2015

Hello Everyone,

I hope y’all are having a good week so far even though it’s only Tuesday. That being said I have had a very stressful beginning to my week and it just keeps getting worse. With all of the classes that were cancelled last week because of the snow and ice this week all of my professors are trying to play catch up. I am swamped with work and its really starting to affect me mentally. Yesterday I had to turn in two make up assignments and I had to write a paper and study for two tests that I had for Tuesday. On top of that I had to work for 4-6 and thankfully I was able to write my paper while I was at work. Once I got back to my room I had some major studying to do. I tried my best to get into reading my textbook but I kept getting sidetracked. Eventually I muddled through the two chapters I had to read for the test and began studying for the second exam I had. I made myself go to sleep around midnight because I knew if I went to bed any later I would not wake up in the morning.

Which brings us to today, and today has been one of the worst Tuesdays I’ve had in a long time. I woke up early this morning like I always do and I got myself together in plenty of time to get to class early so I could go over my study guide one more time before the test. My plan was that when I got done with my test and left class I would have plenty of time to go put gas in my car and spend some time studying for the big exam I had in my next class. Well like usual that plan fell through… in my class we ended up not having to take the exam so instead of just letting us leave she made us act out different scenarios which were a complete waste of my time. We didn’t get out of class until the last minute and I didn’t have time to study or to get gas. I had to rush to my next class and pray that all of the studying I had done last night had absorbed into my brain. Then I had to rework my plan because my car was on empty and there was no way that I could make it through the rest of the day without getting gas. I decided that when I was finished with my test I would quickly go get gas and then run back to my dorm to get my paper that I had forgotten to put in my bag this morning that I needed for class. Luckily that plan worked out a lot better than my first one. I finished my test quickly and I was able to get everything done very quickly. I even had a little under an hour to just chill and relax before my third class of the day. Then after all of my classes were over I was able to go to lunch with Sarah and then I went to work where I attempted to do some homework but it didn’t work out that way… I ended up taking some advice from another friend of mine, Courtney, and I decided to text my ex-boyfriend to see if I could get some answers to all of the questions that have been swimming around in my mind since December. Needless to say he and I have been talking for the last couple of hours and he did answer the questions I had for him. I thought I was going to feel different after I learned the truth but now I don’t know how to feel. I had expected to feel better and to be relieved that I finally knew the answer but I feel the opposite. I almost feel worse than I did before today.

Well on that note, I’m going to try and get some homework done so I can go to bed. I will talk to y’all later!

Day Fifty Three: 22 February 2015

Hey There Wonderful People,

I hope everyone has had an amazing Sunday! Today has been less busy than yesterday was thankfully. I woke up this morning with plenty of time to get ready and because I knew that I had dinner plans tonight I made sure to make myself look great so I wouldn’t have to redo my hair and makeup later.

I spent a little extra time getting ready this morning to make sure that my look lasted all day. I started off my day with my Shine Shine Go Away cleanser by Olay. Once I washed my face, I brushed my teeth with my singing toothbrush that I like to keep at home so I don’t have to carry a toothbrush with me every weekend. I used my Colgate Total Advanced Whitening toothpaste and then I flossed my teeth before I was all done in the bathroom. I made my way into my bedroom where I have a vanity and a nice light set up to do my hair and makeup. I plugged in my curing iron, and while that was heating up I sprayed my hair with heat protectant to protect my colored hair from damage. I bushed it through my hair and by that point my curling iron was heated up. I sectioned my hair into two sectioned and pinned the top section up to get it out of the way while I curled the bottom half of my hair. As I finished the bottom layer I sprayed it with the Toni&Guy casual hold hairspray. I am absolutely obsessed with this hairspray right now. It is a flexible hold so it helps keep my curls in place while still allowing them to be bouncy and natural looking. Then after the bottom layer was done I curled the top layer and finished it off with more hairspray. Then I don’t touch my hair while I do my makeup that way it has time to rest.

I started my makeup routine and I kept it fairly simple because I don’t like to do anything crazy especially if I’m not doing anything that warrants a more adventurous look. I started by priming my face with my Maybelline baby face primer. I love this primer because it goes on really smooth and it helps to minimize any pores that will show through my makeup. Then once that is done I use my Covergirl concealer in the number 105, which is the lightest shade they have. I don’t wear foundation because it feels too heavy on my skin and I can never find the perfect shade for me because I’m so pale. After I blend that in with my beauty blender I use my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in the shade 001 Transparent. This is perfect for my oily skin, it helps to keep me shine free all day. Then I used my Benefit Hoola bronzer to contour my cheeks and the Benefit Nirvana blush. Then I added my Toofaced candlelit highlighter duo to highlight the tops of my cheeks and I used it to highlight my brow bone and my inner eye. Then I moved onto my eyes. I used MAC’s eye shadow Omega to fill in my brows. Then I used MAC’s eye shadows in vanilla on my eyelid and charcoal brown in my crease to contour my eye. Then I used my Maybelline gel eyeliner in espresso and winged the liner on my eyes. Then to finish my look I used my Toofaced Better Than Sex Mascara. This is my absolute favorite mascara at the moment, I just love how light it feels, and it’s not clumpy or flaky. Once that was all done I ran my fingers through my hair to make it all come together and after that I got dressed and I was ready to go.

I packed my bag like I do every Sunday morning and made my way downstairs. I had lunch with my mom before it was time for me to head back to school. I grabbed some Starbucks on my way out of town and got back to school in about an hour and 10 minutes.  Once back at school I unpacked my bag and started working on some homework that needed to be done since I didn’t do it over the weekend. Then around 5:30 I changed my outfit to something a bit dressier for the Dean’s List dinner that I was going to be attending. I wore a pair of black slacks, a white button down shirt and a pair of black heels. To add a pop of color I used my Revlon ColorBurst Lip Lacquer in the color Whimsical which is a gorgeous purple color. Then I went to the dinner with Sarah and the food was awful and overcooked… so that was a disappointment.

After dinner we ran to Food Lion because I needed to stock up for the week since I am out of everything, mainly we just needed coffee creamer because Sarah and I don’t function without coffee. Then after that we came back to the apartment where we have been doing homework since 8:30. It’s been a long day and I’m exhausted and ready for bed. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow and Tuesday is going to be a long one too. As long as I can make it to Wednesday night I’m good!

I will see y’all later and I hope you have a good Monday!

Day Fifty, Fifty One, and Fifty Two: 19, 20, & 21 February 2015

Hello Lovely People!

So exciting news, I’m am typing this blog post on my new laptop! My old laptop was having a lot of issues and it was time for an update, so today I went to Best Buy and got my new baby. It’s the HP Stream and it’s sleek like a Mac book but it’s blue. I love how light it is and easy it is to use. All I have been doing since I got home is play with it and set it up the way I like it.

Sorry I haven’t blogged over the last few days, I have been swamped with school work. On Thursday I spent most of my day watching Supernatural with Sarah like I do most days and I am now officially on season 7. So much is happening and it’s constantly blowing my mind! Sarah loves how obsessed I am with, and the constant references we make. Then on Friday, I drove back home for the weekend like usual. Once I got into town I went to Total Wine to look for a bottle of wine that I fell in love with. They didn’t have the one I was looking for, but the gentleman helping me showed me a bottle that was the exact same as what I was looking for. I bought two bottles and then that night my mom and I almost drank the whole bottle it was so good. We spent the rest of the night watching The Other Woman on TV. After that I fell asleep on the couch which is why I didn’t blog last night. I passed out on the couch around 10pm, I was exhausted.

As for Saturday, well today has been one heck of a day. I have been all over town with my mom going to all sorts of different places to get things done. So this morning my mom got a flat tire so she had to borrow my car to go pick up Girl Scout cookies from the warehouse. Then my dad and I took her car to Firestone to get a new tire. After that mom and I unloaded the cookies into the house, then we packed ourselves into my car and made our way to Walmart to pick up a few things for my grandmother who refuses to leave the house because of the snow on the ground. When we got to her house and explained about my laptop she said that she wanted to help me get a new one and gave me the money for a new one. I couldn’t believe that she gave me that much money, but my new laptop counts as an early birthday present from her and I’m fine with that! We spent at least 30 minutes at her house. Then we went to Best Buy and once we picked out the laptop the associate went on the hunt to find the free Office download that I was eligible for. He was struggling and it took him a long time, and while he was gone looking for the answer my mom got a call that her car was ready to be picked up. The car place closed at 6pm and at that point it was 5:30. We told the associate that we needed to go and get her car and we would be back. He said he would hold the laptop for us and we left. We got her car, went back to Best Buy and they still didn’t have any of the free office cards but someone had gone to another store to pick some up. We decided to go to dinner while we waited and we went to a local place that was packed as usual. We waited for 45 minutes to get a table but after that our food came so quickly. We were back at Best Buy by 8 and by that time they had what we needed. I got my laptop with all the free amenities and I love it. I was supposed to be working on a paper but I just couldn’t get myself to work on it I was too excited about my new toy.

Well I am going to go to bed because I am exhausted, I will see y’all later!

Day Forty Eight and Forty Nine: 17 and 18 February 2015

Hey There Internet Friends,

The last two days have been so chill, it’s been great! Yesterday was a snow day so all I did was watch Supernatural all day with Sarah. I never even got out of my pjs! We had such a lazy day on the couch and watched so much TV! That’s the reason I didn’t blog yesterday because I didn’t have much to say.

Today however, I have done quite a few things. I went to my 10am class and all of my other classes were cancelled and I was not about to complain. I went to lunch with Sarah and then as we were leaving the café our friend caught up with us and asked me to take him to food lion so he could buy steaks for dinner and he said he would buy Sarah and I some too. So I agreed and we went to the store. After that we came back to my apartment and I marinated the steaks with some Worchester sauce and some steak seasoning. Once they were safely in the fridge I got my homework done and then went to work. While at work I watched more Supernatural to pass the time, and then when I got back to my apartment around 6pm I quickly ran to the bathroom to get myself together before the boys came over. It didn’t take long for them to show up and I had to start cooking. I cooked all 6 steaks and the French fries in less than 30 minutes like the little housewife I am meant to be! Then after we all ate dinner I baked a cake because I was bored. While the cake was baking I decided to pick up the apartment because we have inspections tomorrow, and I am not going to fail inspections for some dumb reason. I still have more cleaning to do but I am going to wait until later on tonight when my roommates are back to help me!

The boys that came over tonight were some more of the Fraternity men that I have been meaning to me, and they were very nice and polite and one of them even tried to help me with the dishes before I told him he didn’t have too. It also really helped that they were all really good looking. One in particular I found quite attractive, and he was funny which is always a good sign. Who knows what’s going to happen with that!

Well I’m going to go enjoy a piece of cake with my roommates and clean my apartment some more! I will see y’all later!

Day Forty Seven: 16 February 2015

Hello Everyone,

I hope you’ve had a good Monday! Mine has been interesting to say the least… Everything went normal this morning and I went to my first class at 10:00. Then after that I went to the business office to pay my deposit for housing next year to make sure I got to live in the apartments again. Then after that I spent two hours trying to cram as much information into my brain as possible because I had a test at 1. It was as complete struggle, even though I had study what I thought was a decent amount, when I looked at the test I felt clueless. It took me a good 10 minutes to organize my thoughts so I could answer the essay questions. Luckily after I did that I was able to come up with some fairly okay answers and I finished my test.  Then after that I came back to my apartment to relax before I had to work.

It was at this point that my day started taking a turn. I was watching Supernatural with Sarah when I got an email from the school saying that due to the weather the cafeteria would only be open from 4:15-6 for dinner. I just so happened to be working from 4-6, so at this point I had to come up with an alternative for dinner since I wouldn’t be able to eat at the café. While I was at work I got the idea to order Chinese food, and when I got back to my room after work I called the restaurant and they said they weren’t doing delivery tonight. I then had to come up another plan… which led me to go to Food Lion and pick up a red baron pizza. It was delicious, so it wasn’t an awful decision. I spent the rest of the night watching season 5 of Supernatural with Sarah. I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I’ve been in a weird mood all day and I'm not sure how to snap out of it. I think all of the dreams I've been having recently are finally getting to me.

Anytime I close my eyes he is all I see, and no matter what I do before bed he is all I dream about. It’s not healthy because it causes me to wake up depressed. And now that it’s snowing outside I keep getting flashbacks of last year when it snowed and he and I stayed in bed all day and watched movies because there was no way we were going to go outside. All of my professors have cancelled class tomorrow and that means I will be staying inside all day. Which brings back those memories, and I just found a folder on my computer about the wedding he and I were going to have and I had even started a document where I wrote down little things that I wanted to say in my vows. It was literally like being stabbed in the chest as I scrolled through everything. I don’t have the heart to delete it yet but it hurts too much to know it’s there.

I’m so confused about how I feel, because I say one thing when I feel something completely different. There are some days where I feel fine and that I can forget about the past and move on and then there are days where I don’t want to move and all I can do is cry because how could I possibly move on when I feel so empty inside. I just don’t know how much more of this roller coaster I can take.

I will talk to y’all tomorrow! Have a good Tuesday and if it’s snowing where you are, I hope you stay safe and warm and if it’s not snowing where you are just know that I am extremely jealous of you!

Day Forty Four, Forty Five and Forty Six: 13, 14 and 15 February 2015

Hello Beautiful People,

*Sorry for the combo post I didn’t have time this weekend to blog about anything, so I’m going to throw it all together*

Congratulations on making it through Valentine’s Day! I know it was a little bit of a struggle for me! Thankfully Sarah came home with me this weekend and made sure I had fun. My day started off different than I thought it would I had a dream about my ex-boyfriend and it was a great dream. I was at his house in Florida, and he led me into the living room area and sat down next to me on the couch before he gave me a “What I Love About You” book that he had filled in. He then told me how much I meant to him and that he was sorry for everything he had done and that he wanted to be with me no matter what. In the dream he also said that he was going to prove to me how sorry he was and that he was going to win me back. Of all the days to have that dream it had to be Valentine’s Day? I was so confused when I work up, I didn’t know how to react to that dream. I still don’t, and it seems that I dream about him every night now. I don’t know how to make them stop, and I'm not sure I want them too…

However, we had a really good day yesterday; we went to lunch and had deep dish pizza at my favorite pizza place. As we left the pizza place to go to our next destination we forgot our pizza at the table and I had to turn around so Sarah could run in and get our to-go box! Then we went and saw 50 Shades of Grey which was a really good movie compared to the book, even though they cut out my favorite part of the book. The movie had a lot of funny moments in it, which I think they did on purpose to break up all of the serious tension between the characters. Sarah and I still can’t stop talking about it and how we are excited to see the next one! After watching that movie I have decided that I need an older man in my life, preferably one that has a good job and his life together. I can’t date guys who don’t know where they’re going anymore. Then we went to dinner with my family at Lonestar Steakhouse which was delicious as well. I even got a strawberry margarita because why not. After that we went back to my house and watched Supernatural until we decided to go to bed around 1am.

Then today was a more relaxed day, we went to lunch with my grandmother, mom, sister, and niece. We ended up at Olive Garden like usual, and the food was very good! I got a glass of wine with my meal and it is now my favorite red wine. It’s called Roscato and it’s a very sweet red wine, it was so good and when my glass was empty I was a little depressed. Then after lunch I took Sarah to a gourmet cupcake place, they are all organic and delicious. They never have different cupcakes every day and I figured it would a great way to end the weekend. We bought a caramel cheesecake cupcake, a snicker doodle cupcake, and a blackberry cupcake because we couldn’t decide which one we wanted to try. Once our cupcakes were safely packed in the car we made our way back to school. The drive didn’t take very long, and now both of us are doing some homework. Well I'm supposed to be doing homework but I wanted to blog about my weekend before I got sidetracked again. After we finish our homework we are going to watch some more Supernatural like we do every night.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and I will see y’all tomorrow!
